One of the best features of Google Mail is the extensive keyboard shortcuts. Press ? at any time in Google Mail in a browser and all Shortcuts are shown:

Export your contacts out of Linkedin
A feature that many Linkedin users do not often use (or maybe even know about) is exporting their contacts out. With more and more of us having many contacts in Linkedin the export function is a great feature not only for creating a backup of our contacts but also to transfer or update our contacts in other systems. The file can be used to update contact manager or CRM (Customer Relationship Management).
Follow these simple steps to get a CSV file that you can open in a spreadsheet or text editor
1. Select your contacts list from the Linkedin Menu (once you have logged in of course):
2. Scroll Down the screen to the bottom right and click the link called ‘Export Connections’:
3. A list of file formats are available but the Outlook format should be fine to get the information out into a reasonable file that you can keep or import to many other systems.

LinkedIn 9 Minutes a Day Campaign to help build your profile
LinkedIn has started a great little campaign with a 9 minutes a day plan for getting the most from the ever popular professional social network.
To help you plan your 9 minutes a day LinkedIn has summarised all the activities which you can drag and drop on to the on screen calendar.
These calendar events can then be downloaded into an .ics file which can then be imported into most popular calendar programs. I have done a quick tutorial video on how to import this file into Google Calendar:

WordPress 3.4 just released with cool new features
WordPress has released the latest version 3.4 today with some cool new feature including the theme customiser with live viewer that is shown off in this video.
As well as this Twitter embeds are made even easier. Copy in the tweet url and WordPress formats as a visible formatted tweet:

SPEED West Midlands Video
The SPEED West Midlands programme helps graduates from many of the Universities locally in the Midlands but is especially successful in University of Wolverhampton. I have mentored businesses on the programme and have also delivered training to the University of Wolverhampton cohort.
Here is a recent video produced by a company from the SPEED programme Stone’s Throw Media from a recent SPEED WM event held at Villa Park.

Podio a web app for..just about everything
I have done more and more with Podio recently. Podio is not so much a web app as a web app builder. Don’t ask what Podio can do for you but what could you design with Podio. But the killer feature is the app marketplace which includes all the standard apps (projects, collaborations etc) as well as community built niche apps from Twitter integration to full blown CRM (Customer Relationship Management)
I think Podio really could have something for everyone:
